El Pinar de Campoverde is a small village located at the foot of the Sierra de Escalona mountain range, nine kilometres from Pilar de la Horadada. El Pinar de Campoverde is situated about 20 minutes drive from Murcia Airport and less than 1 hour drive from Alicante Airport.
A 15-minute drive from Pinar de Campoverde takes you to several beaches with 4km of sandy beaches stretching from El Mojon to Mil Palmeras, including a small, pretty cove at Torre de la Horadada where there is also a marina.

The town has only developed since the mid-1980s when many British, German, French and Scandinavian expatriates settled in villas. Originally, the area had been a large pine forest, next to the Río Seco river and had little agricultural importance until much of the wooded area was cleared for orange and lemon groves.
To the south west of Pinar de Campoverde is the famous Rio Seca Natural Park where you can walk along the river.
